Elder Care and Wellness Solutions

In Central Indiana

Today’s seniors have many options to assure their utmost independence and quality of life, but without expert help it’s nearly impossible to understand, find, and utilize all the resources available. Sage Insight owner and director, Pamela Dunlap, fills in the knowledge gap. She has been providing elder care and wellness consulting services for more than 30 years, and now works directly with individuals, families, and corporations in the areas of senior living, home care, rehabilitation, long term care, and hospice.

Living Your Best Life

Words from Pamela Dunlap

A small wooden bridge in a lush green summer forest of pine

What’s stopping you from living your best life right now? What might end up stopping you five or ten years from now?

These are the first questions we’ll talk about. The goal of our work together? To set the stage so you can enjoy your life to the fullest.

Questions we will cover include:

Who knows you best?

Who is best suited to represent you at a time of illness or end of life?

Who better than YOU?

Often seniors are being served by care providers who have little knowledge of the person they are treating. Why leave it up to others to attempt to describe the real YOU? As we approach end of life everyone deserves to represent themselves. When this is not possible, your Sage Insight wellness plan will guide those you trust to advocate for your authentic self. Through a series of questions and dialog, we will explore: your perceived body, mind and spiritual strengths and weaknesses /your personal wishes, fears, and goals / your wellness plan for living today and care plan prep for your tomorrows.

Navigating the healthcare system as an older adult or caregiver often feels impossible. There are so many aspects to learn about, consider, and coordinate. It is a privilege to share my 30 years     of experience in elder care and resources while serving as a navigator to seniors and their families. It is an honor to be a trusted guide that connects seniors with services and benefits that allows them to live their best life.

Identify Goals

What life do you want?

What do you want? Aging in place within your current home environment? Living independently in a residential community with 24-hour care, dining and transportation when needed? What matters to you?

Identify Obstacles

What challenges are you facing?

What's stopping you from living the life you want? What might stop you in the future? Don't be afraid to make a fearless and honest assessment of your challenges.

Educate

Learn about your options.

Learn about the options available to you. Learn what benefits are available to pay for senior living and care. There are so many different options available for today’s seniors, you really need a guide to even know where to begin!

Make a Plan

Lay it all out.

Create a plan! Get your legal and financial instruments in place. Line up the people to help you. Specify your preferences so you don't have to scramble when the inevitable challenges come up.

Manage and Adapt

Flexibility is the key to success.

Aging is about facing the unknown. But with a comprehensive plan in place you can manage and adapt to changing life circumstances, whether temporary or permanent.

Live Your Best Life

Move forward with confidence!

When you overcome the very human tendency to ignore the reality of aging and the inevitable changes that come along with it, it's amazing how much anxiety and pressure simply melts away.

From the time my father was in rehab to his last days 8 months later, Pamela informed and guided our family’s decisions with kindness and patience. She helped us all understand what would support him best as his physical and mental strength declined. I am so grateful for Pam’s ability to talk us through the choices we faced. She was able to discuss options for TODAY and the implications for TOMORROW in a way that allowed everyone to express their wishes and hopes. There is no question that Pamela kept our focus on what was best for my father, what was realistic, and what he wanted. She helped us navigate the unfamiliar world of elder care – with all its insider jargon – with patience and loving care.
